A Bit About Me

Dr. Metterle is double board certified in dermatology and pediatric dermatology. In fact she is only one of a handful of dermatologists in the state of Florida with this subspecialty designation. She is skilled in the management of all adult dermatologic issues ranging from skin cancer to inflammatory dermatoses such as psoriasis. However, her passion and expertise remains in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric skin conditions including birthmarks, growths, acne and rashes.

Dr. Metterle was born and raised in Clearwater, briefly relocating to Ohio during her adolescence. She returned to Tampa Bay for her dermatology training at USF where she acted as academic chief resident during her final year. She pursued additional training specific to pediatric dermatology at one of the most prestigious and largest pediatric dermatology departments in the nation, UCSD/Rady Children's Hospital. She is honored to now be practicing in her home community. In her spare time, Dr. Metterle enjoys spending playing with her 3 nieces and cuddling her family's 2 dogs, JJ and Cody.
